Michael Kors MK5039 Women's Ritz Horn WatchA few months ago, I bought a beautiful Ritz Tortoise Watch for my husband (The Michael Kors MK5038) and even wrote a detailed review on it (You can read that review here). It’s slowly become his favourite watch now and he loves wearing it to work. Since I bought him that watch, it was time for him to return the favor and on our anniversary last month, he bought me the very stunning, Michael Kors MK5039 Ritz Horn Watch.

I had previously seen this watch on someone else and had loved it because it had looked really stunning. But it was nothing compared to when I put it on my wrist. I swear but this watch looks more sexy on the wrist than off it (isn’t that the point of all watches…lol) and I literally have to stop myself from wearing it all the time.

I just can’t get enough of the subtle yet sophisticated variation in the horn pattern and the knurled gold-tone top-ring adds a chic textural touch to the whole watch. It’s more neutral-colored than the photo on your left and it’s actually more of a marbled beige color with yellow gold clasp and trim on the face. The mother-of-pearl face is extremely nice and pretty and another thing that I really like about the Michael Kors MK5039 is that it has glow-in-the-dark hands that make it perfect at night. I love the chronograph-look on this watch which makes it look elegant as well as functional.

I have absolutely no complaints against the watch or Amazon (where I bought it from). The only thing you need to guard against is to make sure you don’t rub the watch against any hard surface because that might damage the crystals on the watch.

Also I had to take out 3 links from the watch to match my wrist size but that can be done at any watch or local jewelry store so that’s not an issue at all.

Ceramic watch repair is an art in itself and watchmakers who specialize in it are sometimes difficult to come by these days. Luckily for us, the American Watchmaker-Clockmaker Institute (AWCI) offers a directory of watchmakers in the U.S so whenever in doubt about ceramic watch repair, simply look this directory up.

However, be prepared to travel some distance to get your ceramic watch repaired because it’s highly unlikely that an expert will be living at the end of your block. Also remember, it will cost you a whole lot of money to get a ceramic watch repair done by an expert so be ready to shell out something in the range of $300 – $600! Some of them even charge a whopping $100 – $200 for a simply oiling job or removing and adding watch links! In case you still opt for professional help, remember to ask them to include a guarantee on the ceramic watch repair work.

Another thing you should be aware off is the fact that for heavily damaged watches, sometimes the ceramic watch repair may cost more the price of a new watch, so do visit a few watchmakers and get an estimate of the different costs involved in ceramic watch repair.

How To Change A Fossil Watch Battery – Step 1

The 1st step when it comes to learning how to change a fossil watch battery is turn the watch over and place it on a soft pad or a dry hand towel. This is very essential because we do not want to damage the watch dial or the bezel crystals on the watch in any way possible.

A towel or soft pad does the work perfectly in preventing scratches to the watch dial or crystals.

The next step is to remove the back cover of the fossil watch with the help of the small flat blade screwdriver that came along with the watch repair kit I mentioned earlier.

1st examine the edge of the back cover. Depending on the type of Fossil watch you have, there will either be a small depression along the edge or there will be multiple screws along the edge. If there is one small depression along the edge of the cover, then it can be pried off using the flat blade screwdriver. If there are screws present, use the rotating blade screwdriver to remove all the screws.
